Sony Electronics Brings Hi-Res Audio to the Car
On Tuesday, Sony Electronics announced a new line of in-car High-Resolution Audio systems for the U.S. market. Included in the lineup are the RSX-GS9 digital media player ($1,499), the XM-GS4 four-channel amplifier ($299), and the XS-GS1 Super Tweeter ($199). These products, which will be available from Sony authorized car audio specialists in December, join a line of speakers and other audio equipment for the car.
Here’s more information on each product as provided by Sony:
The RSX-GS9 is a car audio player that Sony said is natively compatible with DSD (5.6MHz/1bit, 2.8MHZ/1bit), an audio format that reproduces music with “unprecedented accuracy.” Various connectivity features are available on the system, including LDAC supported Bluetooth/NFC, two USB (Type A) slots, and a micro-B USB slot.
