Sony Announces Laptop Recall
Sony has announced that it is recalling more than 500,000 Vaio laptops due to a "temperature control defect," the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.
The recall, which is worldwide, applies to F and C-Series Vaio laptops sold since January of this year. Of the laptops around half- 259,000- are in the U.S.
The affected laptops reportedly overheat, changing the shape of the computer and possibly leading to skin burns. Those affected can either download a program to alleviate it, or have Sony perform repairs.
