Sony Appoints Manowitz VP of Digital Imaging, Consumer Sales, and Marketing
Sony Electronics announced a new appointment on Monday. Neal Manowitz will be the new Vice President of Digital Imaging, Consumer Sales, and Marketing, effective immediately. In this new role, Manowitz will be responsible for overseeing all digital imaging sales and marketing activities for Sony in Canada and the U.S. He’ll also play a critical role in the development of strategies aimed at strengthening “our customer experience while driving channel growth,” Sony said in a statement.
According to Sony, Manowitz joined the company in 1993 and brings over 10 years of experience within Imaging. During his time with the company, Manowitz oversaw the launch of Sony into the U.S. consumer digital camera market and the awarding of over 30 U.S. patents. He went on to lead the HES business team to achieve number-one market share within the home audio and video categories.
Manowitz moved back over to the Digital Imaging team in November 2013, and in the time since has been appointed to the PDMA Board of Directors, CEA’s Imaging Board, and managed the growth of Sony’s Alpha Interchangeable Lens Camera, the company said in a statement.
