Anyone who knows Sony and their products, knows how deeply rooted the idea of ‘Kando’ is in everything that the consumer tech giant does. Kando, which translates to mean emotional involvement, is at the heart of Sony’s products and how they do business. President and CEO Kazuo Hirai, like usual, made the word a theme of Sony’s IFA 2016 press conference here in Berlin. Sony’s intentions with every new product they develop and launch, he said, is intended to reach the consumer at “the last inch,” meaning these will be products that the consumer gets close with on an emotional level and an engagement level.
Everything from their headphones, to cameras, to smartphones, and even their gaming products, they all reach the consumer at that “last inch.”
Sony looked to continue that with a number of major product launches at IFA 2016. Here’s a rundown of the major announcements Kaz and Co. made here in Berlin.
