Sony Internet, TV to "Marry" at CES
Sony has invited the press to a "wedding" of television and the Internet at International CES next month. It is uncertain what exactly the company is announcing, although it may be the "next generation television" that CEO Howard Stringer discussed in interviews last year.
The Vegas-style wedding, according to an elaborate website created by Sony, will take place Jan. 11 between the Bride- "Bravia"- and the Groom- SEN (Sony Entertainment Network.) The "program" also lists the bride's mother as Trinitron, the bride's sister as PlayStation 3, the bride's brother as Home Theater and the Internet's father, of course, as Al Gore.
The Remote, Blu-ray and Tablet S (the best man) are also participants.
