Sony Launches New PS3 Ad Campaign
Sony will be stepping up its promotion of the PlayStation 3 console heading into the holiday season, with a major ad blitz that launched this past weekend, according to Sony’s Official PlayStation Blog.
“The games are here, the price point is now $399 and we wanted to make the news loud and clear,” Sony marketing VP Peter Dille wrote in the post. “Beyond the brilliant HD games that the PS3 delivers, you’ll also see a big focus behind the PS3’s Blu-ray movie capability and, for the first time, you’ll see a major focus behind the PlayStation Network... and the exclusive gaming content available on the PlayStation Store, as well as breakthrough services like Home.”
The campaign features both 30- and 60-second television spots. The first 60-second spot, featuring images from several of the newer PlayStation games, is scored to the song “Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva.
