Sony, Nokia, Others Sign On to Global Warming Fight
In a new worldwide alliance aimed at defeating global warming, twelve major corporations joined forces Friday for a statement titled the Tokyo Declaration, Reuters reported.
Among those included in the coalition are Sony, Nokia, and HP; the declaration was signed at the Climate Savers Summit 2008 in Tokyo Friday. Sony and the World Wildlife Fund hosted the summit.
“At Sony, we believe that it is impossible for a business to flourish in a degraded environment. For this reason we are committed to using our technological ability and know-how to reduce our impact on the planet,” Sony CEO Howard Stringer said in a statement.
