OLED, and Other Wonders, at CEATEC Japan
Onion-skin flat panels, anyone? Or how about paint-on TV?
That seems to be the direction in which Japanese engineers are heading, from the looks of the super-svelte television prototypes shown at last week’s CEATEC Japan annual exhibition, held on Tokyo’s outskirts at the huge Makuhari Messe convention center.
If what was on display is any indication of the coming next-gen TV technology, LCD panels are about to rival the slimness of the American market’s video profit margins.
