Sony Was Taunted by Hacker
Sony executives told Congress Wednesday that the hacker responsible for its recent data breach left a "taunting message," indicating that the hacker collective known as "Anonymous" is responsible, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The company believed that Anonymous has targeted them in retaliation for a lawsuit against hacker George Hotz. Anonymous has denied involvement, however.
Following the breach that compromised 77 million PlayStation Network accounts, Congress has vowed to investigate, while the state attorney general in New York has issued subpoenas.
