Sony’s New h.ear on Hi-Res Headphones Come in ‘Vibrant’ Colors
Sony Electronics today announced its new line of “h.ear on” High-Resolution Audio-compatible headphones that come in five “vibrant” (according to the company) colors.
The h.ear on headphones will be available in viridian blue, cinnabar red, charcoal black, lime yellow and bourdeaux pink.
The headband-style h.ear on models will come with 40mm HD drivers capable of reproducing sounds up to 60 kHz. Augmented bass will be joined with lightweight CCAW voice coils to produce high-linearity responses in high-pitched sounds. The domes of the acoustic diaphragms are coated with titanium to minimize vibrations. Beat Response Control “improves the transient characteristics in bass reproduction and delivers accurate rhythm, while an acoustic port on the housing controls air flow for optimal diaphragm movement and additional bass range,” according to Sony. A ground separated cable is intended to cut cross talk. Draped ear pads prevent sound leakage.
