Photo Vault Portable Mini CD-R Station. Available in the fall for an estimated $200 SRP. This portable device burns mini CDs directly from digital still cameras without having to use a PC interface. Instead, the Photo Vault connects directly to a digital camera via USB. It comes with an AC adapter and AA battery pack for transport. The Photo Vault can also show off your pictures on a TV screen through an AV output. In addition, it also accepts Memory Sticks for downloading content through the Photo Vault media slot.
DSC-P100 Cyber-Shot Digital Camera. Available May for an estimated $400 SRP. The 5.1 megapixel camera features a Carl Zeiss VAIO-Tessar 3X optical zoom lens. With a thinness of one inch, Cyber-Shot is available in three colors—red, blue and silver—and includes the CSS-PHA Cyber-Shot Station, which connects to a PC or TV for viewing still images and video clips. The accessory also charges the camera and comes with a remote for controlling slide show and image printing.
VAIO PCV-V200G. Available now for $1,700 SRP. This all-in-one desktop PC features a wireless keyboard and mouse, as well as a suite of Sony multimedia software for managing and sharing digital content like photos, video and music. The system allows allows users to watch and record TV with GigaPocket, an internal tuner and DVR that comes with a remote control. The VAIO can also convert home movies to digital format to burn to DVD with accompanying DVD creation software and DVD-RW drive.
