Nickelodeon To Release Cartoon Electronics
The entertainment conglomerate Viacom is pushing an extension of its Nickelodeon childrens’ channel- consumer electronics. According to the New York Times, a line of TVs, portable media players, alarm clocks, and other electronics devices will soon begin appearing in the aisles of Best Buy, Wal*Mart, and other retail giants, featuring SpongeBob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer and other popular Nickelodeon characters.
The line’s signature product is a 15-inch LCD flat-screen TV that is shaped like SpongeBob, while other products include a Dora the Explorer digital camera, as well as digital photo frames and DVD players featuring other characters.
The products will begin rolling out later this month.
