Sports and Technology Converge in a Big Way at CES 2016
There are few things in life that I consider myself more passionate about than sports and technology. Increasingly these days, those two worlds collide in many ways—through the presentation of sports on television, to the blazing-fast rise of eSports, to how athletes are training and evaluating their performances.
Needless to say, I enjoy any and every opportunity to have my sports fandom and love for tech overlap. And there’s perhaps no grander stage—from a technology perspective—for that to happen than at CES 2016 in Las Vegas next month.
At its mammoth annual tradeshow, the Consumer Technology Association is giving sports several opportunities to show once and for all that jocks and tech geeks can coexist and find some common ground. CTA announced earlier this week that it is making a concerted effort to expand its sports and technology initiative at CES 2016 by scheduling a number of new and, frankly, awesome sports-related events.
