For years in the SOHO market nothing was more ubiquitous than the cluttered work area crowded with fax, printer, copier and all the cables and paraphernalia to go with them. Recently, the improvements in multi-function peripherals (MFPs) have made them seem like better choices for the home- and small-office users, while better prices have made them more accessible.
For the consumer, the MFP is several solutions in one package, requiring less desk space, one kind of ink or toner cartridge, one kind of paper and one cable.
