Sprint Will Not Release 4G PlayBook
Sprint has backed away from plans to release a 4G version of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet computer, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday.
The decision was attributed to what Sprint saw as a lack of demand from business customers. Neither AT&T or Verizon has yet committed to bringing a 4G PlayBook device out.
RIM said later Friday that it will concentrate on producing the PlayBook for LTE, as opposed to WiMax devices.
