Streamlining the Service Repair Experience
Launched on February 1, ServicePower Field Service Solutions manages independent third-party service provider networks for OEMs and retailers, giving its clients "line-of-sight" to service providers' work day through FSS software tools. The FSS software is based on technology developed by GE.
Chris Smith, CEO of ServicePower Field Service Solutions, notes that a consumer "is usually in limbo for 24 to 48 hours after they call a manufacturer or retailer (with a repair request) until they get a call back (from a servicer). In addition, he notes, "a lot of manufacturers won't guarantee an appointment time."
"FSS created a platform where service providers can go in and give us their availability by group of technicians, by zone or zip code, so that multiple call centers can look at their work day and book an appointment with that service provider," Cook says.
