HES Holds Brand Source Summit
Andy Kersey, HES board member and principal of Hamlin & Kersey in Corbin, Ky., said his strategies this year will focus on improving sales on the retail side of his business. “During this subdued economic period,” he explained, “we are committing to sales training as well as bolstering our presence in light commercial projects, on the custom side. I also hope to try to deliver the story of ‘my’ brand within my community this year. And I expect to come away from this meeting having taken advantage of pricing opportunities from the vendors, and also having learned about how better to market to women.
“The networking opportunities here are invaluable,” Kersey said, adding that he expects here to work out a reciprocal arrangement with an appliance dealer in Knoxville, Tenn., not far from his location, “to open our scope a bit. Business these days is about partnerships. There is business out there, but you must reach out and hunt for it.”
The Summit officially opened Monday morning.
