Sirius XM Tuesday announced a very strong quarter, posting a profit of $173.3 million, compared with $15.3 million the same time a year ago. The company attributed the performance to growing demand for satellite radio.
Subscribers rose 8 percent over the same time last year.
The company also announced the upcoming launch of SXM 2.0, which will include two new-generation radios with WiFi, Bluetooth and Internet capability.
