Study: “Super Buyers” Responsible For Most CE Purchases
A class of “Super Buyers,” comprising roughly 25 percent of U.S. broadband households, are in fact responsible for 80 percent of all consumer electronics purchases. That’s according to a white paper, called “”Super Buyers: The Key Broadband Segment Buying CE Products,” which was released this week by the research firm Parks Associates.
According to the paper, which is based on a survey of 2,500 broadband households, the “Super Buyers” are those who especially enjoy and look forward to purchasing CE products.
Perhaps most surprisingly, the “Super Buyers” do not differ appreciably from the general population in any other demographic category, even income. The big difference is their attitude towards electronics.
