More home builders than ever before are adding broadband capability to the homes they are building, according to a study released Monday by the Consumer Electronics Association.
According to CEA's 9th Annual State of the Builder Technology Market Study, 77 percent of builders have installed broadband, the highest number of the history of the survey. CEA conducted the survey along with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Research Center.
The survey also found that 27 percent of builders stated that the addition of home technology "greatly or somewhat increased their revenue," compared with 18 percent in the 2008 version of the survey.
