Sure Petcare’s Feeder Tracks Pet Health & Wellness
Pet technology specialist Sure Petcare will highlight its SUREFEED Microchip Pet Feeder Connect at the CES Unveiled event in Las Vegas ahead of the 2020 CES. The device won the show’s Innovation Award in the Smart Home category.
“With pets increasingly becoming an extension of the family, our products are giving owners unprecedented insights into their pets’ lives. Our technology can help spot shifts in behavior and activity over time, which may signal changes in a pet’s health and well-being,” Managing Director of Sure Petcare David Hallas said in a statement.
The connected feeder is designed to help prevent pets stealing food from co-habiting pets' bowls, while also recording the time and weight of food eaten. This information creates a detailed understanding of a pet’s feeding patterns through the Sure Petcare app, giving owners the opportunity to spot potential health issues if there are changes in their feeding habits.
Beyond showcasing the feeder, the U.K.- based company will also demo its ecosystem of smart products for pet wellness, which includes the ANIMO dog behavior and activity tracker. This device learns and interprets the unique behavior and activity patterns of dogs, from sleeping and scratching to barking and more. Owners can follow their pet’s progress and set goals through the associated app, giving them a greater understanding of their pet’s health and well-being, says Sure Petcare.
