Survey: Americans Doing More With Technology
According to a new survey, more and more Americans are watching TV shows online, using their cell phones for entertainment, and taking advantage of other nontraditional modes of technology.
According to the “State of the Media Democracy” survey, which was conducted by accounting firm Deloitte & Touche and released to the Hollywood Reporter, 45 percent of those surveyed have created user-generated content on the Web, while 38 percent of consumers watch TV online and 36 percent use their mobile phones for entertainment. Those numbers go up dramatically, perhaps unsurprisingly, when those between 13 and 21 are surveyed.
