Corporate Demand For Tablets Jumps
The total number of tablet devices used by the corporate sector is expected to double in the next quarter. That's according to a survey released this week by ChangeWave Research.
ChangeWave found that while 7 percent of corporate buyers surveyed say they currently use tablets, that number will double to 14 percent in the next quarter.
In terms of suppliers, Apple's iPad remains the dominant player in the market, with that device accounting for 78 percent of planned purchases. Dell and Research in Motion's products tied for second at 9 percent each, even though the latter company's first tablet, the BlackBerry Playbook, will not even be released until next year. HP followd at 8 percent.
