The Art of Cabling Audio Quality
Monster Cable’s Super High Definition Surround project, which has deployed ultra-high-quality CDs into the marketplace, recently got a nod of recognition of excellence from the recording industry, in the form of two Grammy Awards for performances on the George Benson/Al Jarreau “Givin’ It Up” Monster Music release.
But, perhaps as important, the retail community is also bestowing its highest honor on the project: it is using the Monster discs to demonstrate the pleasures of high-quality audio -- and to “sell-up,” on the sales floor.
Monster Cable’s “little monster,” Kevin Lee, explains the impetus behind the project: “My dad has a passion for music, and six or seven years ago, we had a conversation on how video sales were up but audio sales were down, and we’re, of course, very sensitive to that. Take that to the next step on the business side, and if audio sales are down, speaker sales would be affected – and so would cable sales.
