Tara Dunion, Director of Event Communications, Consumer Electronics Association
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy from Duke University.
Career History: Dunion originally wanted to run for office, but a year working on Capitol Hill fixed that. She worked for DC-based U.S. Newswire and then moved to Burson-Marsteller, doing PR work for Motorola. She relocated to Singapore with Fleischman-Hillard to do PR work for Intel in the Philippines. She returned to D.C., working two years for Sideware, a now-defunct CRM company. Dunion became CEA’s PR Director in 2002. In 2004, while pregnant with her second child, CEA promoted Dunion to her current position, giving her responsibility for all PR and media aspects of the International CES.
