Target, iTunes Reach Music Deal
Target announced Tuesday that it has reached a deal with Apple's iTunes Music Store to create a special Target-branded area on iTunes, for selling of Target-exclusive albums. The deal will begin with Pearl Jam's "Backspacer" album, which is scheduled to arrive next month.
"We're thrilled to be working with iTunes to provide our guests with exclusive content, bringing a fresh new approach to our music retail," Mark Schindele, senior vice president, merchandising for Target, said as part of the announcement. "Our guests love being able to buy iTunes Gift Cards at Target, and we think this is yet another great option for them."
