Target Corp. said Thursday that its sales in June were "soft," rising 1.7 percent over the same time last year.
"Sales in electronics, video games, music and movies were particularly soft for the month. We continue to plan our business cautiously, with a focus on disciplined execution of our strategy across the company," chairman and CEO Gregg Steinhafel said as part of the announcement.
Sales were reported at $5.9 million for the five weeks that ended July 3.
