Target Eyes Job Cuts
Target is planning a restructuring that it will include cutting of "several thousand" jobs, according to multiple media reports Tuesday.
The cuts will come at the company's headquarters in Minneapolis, and are geared towards saving $2 billion a year, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported. The company also plans to "sharpen" its stores.
It's part of a new strategy by CEO Brian Cornell, who took over last year. Target already announced a ceasing of its Canada operations.
