Target Opens New Stores
Despite less-than-stellar financial results of late, Target on Tuesday announced the opening of 27 new stores throughout the U.S., including its first two locations in Hawaii.
The new stores include six "SuperTarget" stores with full grocery lines- in Kissimmee, Fla., Canton, Ga., Hillside, Ill, and in Allen, Lewisville, and Pflugerville, Tex.- as well as "general merchandise" stores in 21 other cities. These include the new store, as reported earlier this week, near Walmart's headquarters in Northwest Arkansas.
Target last week reported a fourth quarter profit that dropped 41 percent over the same time the year before.
