Shocking News: A Taser Holster That Plays Music
The company behind the Taser self-defense device has come up with way to get users to take advantage of their product while not using it for its primary function.
Taser International has announced the impending availability of the Taser MPH (Music Player Holster), a holster that contains a 1GB mp3 player that is an accessory of the shock device. The product is being marketed to women, especially those who jog at night, as both a self-defense device and as a fashionable accessory, in such colors as “red-hot red,” “fashion pink,” and “leopard.” The company announced during International CES last month that such a product was on the way; a report in the Philadelphia Inquirer on Sunday said that it will arrive on the market in early March, at a price tag of $349.95 per unit for the Taser C2 device, and $73 for the holster.
“These new products are a result of listening to our customers. Personal protection can be both fashionable and functionable,” Taser CEO Rick Smith said in a statement at CES. “The TASER C2 leopard print design provides a personal protection option for women who want fashion with a bite.”
