Taste the Difference with Global Ionics Beverage Power
Launched earlier this year, Beverage Power by Global Ionics, LLC, is an incredible product that literally changes the taste and texture of the user's drink by using the power of the "electric" human body. The device was on display for the first time at CE Week 2016 in New York this week—and it blew me away.
I'm not one for clichés, but the Beverage Power truly is something that you really have to experience for yourself in order to truly understand why this product was among the few chosen by our editorial staff here as one of the Best in Show at CE Week. I'll attempt to explain it here, but if you really want to get what Beverage Power is all about, reach out to Global Ionics Partner Ken Davidov, and tell him Dealerscope sent you! Ken has a solid routine that he runs though to help the user/demo-er get a good feel for the innovative product. It's a routine that he allowed us to partake in, and the results were simply mind-blowing.
The technology behind Beverage Power is no different than what Davidov and the Global Ionics team are already doing with their other products, like the Cross X Power Toothbrush and the Smart Power Hair Brush. Using the organic circuitry produced by the protons, neutrons, and electrons in the human body, along with a patented voltage booster circuit and one AAA battery, the Beverage Power is able to produce a small, safe electric current within any beverage. What that does—according to Global Ionics and confirmed by my in-person demo—is make salty drinks taste saltier, sugary drinks taste sweeter, beers taste fizzier, and champagnes taste bubblier. And, a hidden and unintended side effect of the technology, is that it makes drinks taste colder—so no more skunked beers after only being opened for 10 minutes.
