TCL North America has named Travis Williams to the position of Director of Home Appliance Sales – a new senior role the company has created to accelerate its home appliances business, it said in the announcement statement.
Williams is being tasked to expand TCL’s presence in the home by driving sales and distribution of the company’s home appliance products.
He has held a number of strategic planning and sales roles throughout his career. Most recently, at Danby Products, he led a team of sales professionals and oversaw national, regional and distribution channels. He brings to the job more than a decade of management experience in the consumer goods industry.
According to the announcement, Williams will be tasked with defining product strategies, distribution tactics, fostering retailer relationships, and managing the sales organization across a number of TCL products, currently including air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and ductless mini split systems.
“Travis will play a significant role in establishing TCL as a leader in home appliances just as we are with TVs,” said Chris Larson, senior vice president, TCL, in the statement.
“I’m excited to show consumers a different side of the brand,” Williams said in the statement.
