Ten Ideas to Turn Around the Mobile Electronics Business: Part 5
It is not hard to imagine stepping off from awareness to relevance. You are becoming irrelevant. Nevermind growth- the next few years will see a fight to maintain this industry's current business, unless significant changes are undertaken.
I believe it is an art form to recapture relevance. It will take work, focus and cash. However, more importantly, it will take cooperation among all in the industry. The good will that was created by the awareness summit in Dallas a couple of years ago has been squandered with political quarreling and lack of a focused cooperative public presentation.
Awareness is local, not national. It begins with grassroots activism in coordinating the market’s retailers and their suppliers. Awareness grows organically (I love the new consulting terms I am learning)— when you grow from three of 10 to six of 10 in Muncie, Peoria, Anchorage, Portland, Tucson, Waco, Bloomington, Hartford, Nashville, Greensboro, Tampa, Charlottesville and Billings.
