What They’re Thinking: Jack Wayman
I stayed the course and never went anywhere else but this business. If I wasn’t an industry geisha, I would probably be a worldwide geisha. Go into diplomatic corps. A lot of my friends are in the business; they’re ambassadors now. It’s fascinating, if you can avoid being an alcoholic with all the embassy parties.
Either an ambassador or a Good Humor man. Wouldn’t it be great to have a Good Humor truck? Watch those kids come running and line up withtheir faces all lit up. It’s another way you’d be selling nothing but pure pleasure.
Among the joys of CE life is that I have known the inventors, the entrepreneurs and the corporate managers—Bose, Sarnoff, the Galvins, Fisher, Scott, Abrams, and the great peddlers like Elias and McDonald. And I have participated in an industry that gives pure pleasure, enhances lifestyle and work-style and brings people together. We connect people locally, nationally and worldwide. Everyone in the industry should look constantly at what the industry does for lifestyle changes, worldwide communication and preserving peace.
