The acquisition of MERA by InstallerNet is now final, the organizations' leadership announced Wednesday on a conference call with reporters.
"I'm very happy to announce that as of today, the deal has been finalized," InstallerNet's president and CEO, Tony Frangiosa, said on the call. As a result of the merger, the organization has been re-established as "The Mobile Electronics Retailers' Association," a new entity which replaced the previous MERA in which the "E" stood for "enhancement." The executives refer to the organization as "The New MERA."
The merger was announced in July, following a period in which lawyers finalized the language. The voting members of MERA's board approved the transaction unanimously, MERA executive director Barry Vogel said.
