GE Appliance Chief Collapses During Biden Speech
The CEO of GE's appliance division collapsed Monday during a speech by Vice President Joseph Biden at GE's Appliance Park facility in Louisville, Ky.
Jim Campbell, who was seated on stage near Biden as he spoke, fell off a stool, but was treated at an on-site clinic and released soon after, the Washington Post reported.
The collapse was said to be heat-related.
Biden was speaking in order to tout the accomplishments by federal stimulus funds. As Campbell was being led out of the room, the vice president called him "the man who made this all possible."
