CEA Buys Stake in Global Inventures
The Consumer Electronics Association announced Tuesday that it has reached a deal to acquire a stake in Global Inventures, an ecosystem developer which specializes in "forming, launching and managing industry alliances across the high tech, clean/green energy and healthcare markets and in developing technology ecosystems."
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Inventures, based in San Ramon, Calif., will continue to operate in its current headquarters.
“This strategic investment is the logical next step in CEA's relationship with Inventures,” Gary Shapiro, CEA's president and CEO, said as part of the announcement.
