CEA Starts a Movement
The Consumer Electronics Association Monday announced a new effort that it calls the Innovation Movement. The purpose of the grass roots movement, the group said, is to "focus U.S. policies on advancing innovation with the goal of ensuring continued U.S. global economic leadership."
Part of CEA's government affairs division, the Innovation Movement is based on the group's Innovation Checklist, announced in March.
“Innovation is in our DNA—it’s part of our culture. The American public is concerned that our country is losing the innovative and entrepreneurial recipe that drives U.S. economic growth and prosperity,” president and CEO Gary Shapiro said as part of the announcement.
