CEA Launches Apps For Innovation Contest
The Consumer Electronics Association this week announced the launch of the "Apps For Innovation" contest. The contest is meant to encourage developers to come up with applications that "demonstrate how innovation and entrepreneurship are making an economic impact in the United States."
The winner of the contest will receive $10,000 and a trip to International CES in Las Vegas. The contest is part of CEA's Innovation Movement.
“Innovation is at the heart of the global economic recovery,” CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro said as part of the announcement. “We're launching the ‘Apps for Innovation’ contest to encourage the most talented software developers to deploy apps that illuminate how innovation and entrepreneurial activity are at work across America.”
