The Distributor View
How can retail use distribution to improve its bottom line?
• "We can make our inventory the retailer's inventory," said Warren Chaiken of Almo Corp. "Realistically, (retailers) should be trying to squeeze their inventory and improve their turns—one on the floor, and one on back-up—to cut investment costs and increase their cash flow."
• "Turns, turns, turns," said David Lorsch of DBL Distributing. "An order placed with me at noon is going to be on the road by midnight… you can fill as needed without having to overload other inventories to meet minimums."
