Connections and communication are vital here. Cory says sales and delivery staff should be communicating together to guarantee the customers' expectations are met on both ends. He recommends cross education to help clarify the sort of work done by both parties and provide an overall knowledge of the business in general.
"We like to have sales people come on deliveries during their training so that they know what happens during that process," he says. "Logistics people should be on the sales floor, experiencing the sales side and understanding the kinds of expectations given to customers by salespeople.
