The Future of Retail Revealed at IFA RETAIL NEXT

IFA RETAIL NEXT as part of SHIFT Mobility meets IFA NEXT will take place on the second day of IFA 2020 Special Edition.

Retail has a future, but what will it look like? How can retailers benefit from changing consumer behaviors? Why do digital shoppers still visit stores? What is phygital marketing? And how does omnichannelling work best?

The new format IFA RETAIL NEXT premieres at IFA 2020 Special Edition and provides answers and forward-looking expert insights into challenges and opportunities of the ongoing transition of retail. One of the IFA RETAIL NEXT exclusive partners is Liganova, a company that has worked on so called phygital sphere, in which customers enjoy ominchannelling sales experiences – digital and physical. nbsp;

On behalf of Liganova Dr. Marc Schumacher kicks off IFA RETAIL NEXT by introducing the new era of global retail. Marc will discuss the prevalence of technology and with it the future impact for the world of retail.

The following session is joined by Liganova’s Nicola Maier and Studio Vaust CEO Jörn Scheipers, who won the Retail Award Europe and contributes his architectural expertise on the subject of shop fitting. Lucia Balestri, Karola Booß and Meruert Kastner of the Berlin-based creative agency Kemmler Kemmler outline how Shared Spaces work in retail, a way to connect several industries in one place. Magdalena Pusch, CMO of Framen Framen shares her insights about the power out-of-home-screens. Jan Toschka, Retail General Manager Shell DACH adds the perspective of the transformation of gas stations to the session.

Björn Ognebeni, China Briefs offers a summary of recent retail trends in China. ROOOM’s Hans Elstner (CEO) and Jan Bügers provide their expertise on how to create hybrid experiences.

IFA RETAIL NEXT as part of SHIFT Mobility meets IFA NEXT will take place on the second day of IFA 2020 Special Edition, Friday, 4 September from 10.30 a.m. to 12.50 p.m. on the Innovation Engine Stage at the CityCube, Messe Berlin.
