Second House Vote on DTV This Week
The House of Representatives will once again vote on a bill to delay the DTV transition from February to June, and President Obama's press secretary said the president will sign it if it reaches his desk.
The bill is expected to come up for another vote at some point in the middle of the week, the Associated Press reported. Two different versions of the bill have passed the U.S. Senate, both unanimously, but on a special fast-track vote last week the measure failed to gain a 60 percent threshold needed for passage.
Meanwhile, $650 million for the now-bankrupt federal coupon program is included in the stimulus package, scheduled for a Senate vote this week.
