House Passes DTV Delay
The delay of the DTV transition is now virtually official, as the House of Representatives Wednesday voted to move the date from Feb. 17 to June 12. The measure now goes to the desk of President Obama, who has vowed to sign it.
The vote in the House was 264-158 in favor of the delay.
Under the terms of the new bill, which already passed the Senate unanimously, broadcasters are allowed to turn off their analog signals prior to the June 12 date.
