AT&T Prepares First 4G Phone
AT&T later this month will launch the first mobile phone to run on its version of a 4G network. The HTC Inspire will arrive Feb. 13.
The handset, which will cost $99.99 with a two-year contract, runs Android 2.2 and sports an AT&T Mobile Hotspot.
"We are kicking off an exciting year for AT&T's smartphone portfolio, and leading off with our first 4G phone," Jeff Bradley, senior vice president, Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets, said as part of the announcement. "With its iconic design, 4G speeds and awesome features, Inspire 4G is going to attract new customers and please existing AT&T subscribers."
