NHT Unveils New Absolute Tower
The newest iteration of NHT’s Absolute home loudspeaker series – the Absolute Tower is the full-sized version of the company’s best-selling Classic mini-monitor, the Absolute Zero.
While the Zero was a two-way model, this speaker uses a three-way, four-driver acoustic suspension design that is said by the company to produce extended dynamics and low-frequency response beyond its relatively modest cabinet size of 36 inches high by 5.7 inches wide by 7/25 inches deep.
It uses the Absolute Zero’s one-inch aluminum-dome tweeter and 5 1/4-inch polypropylene cone midrange, adding two 5 1/4-inch woofers, and also features a 10-coat gloss-black finish. The speaker’s frequency response is 58Hz to 20kHz, with an impedance rating of 8 ohms average, 4 ohms minimum and it has a sensitivity spec of 86dB. It is being released in early April, and will carry an SRP of $495 per speaker.
