Georgetown Apple Store Clears a Hurdle
A long-in-the-works Apple Store proposed for Washington, D.C.'s historical Georgetown area took a step forward last week, when the Old Georgetown Board approved a design for the store's storefront.
The store would be the first of its kind in the nation's capital.
According to the Washington Business Journal the board, which is overseen by the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts, approved the design after the company agreed to some modifications. The full commission must now approve the project before it can go forward.
