The wilds of B2C
Tim Donohue has more than a few stories to tell about working with the general public. In addition to working with small businesses, he does work here and there for people in his neighborhood. One of his favorite stories is about the time he was giving a URL over the phone and someone actually typed out B-A-C-K-S-L-A-S-H when he said was giving them a URL. "I overestimated them. It turns out they didn't know as much as I thought they did," he jokes.
Stories like this one are endemic of working in a world of consumers, especially when a computer is involved. And it's one example of the changes a VAR must make when the choice is made to become a digital integrator.
