DEALERSCOPE: What impact will the analog TV cutoff date and the converter box coupon program have on your sales and profitability?
The industry is moving into its last year before the analog TV cutoff takes effect. Also, the converter box coupon voluntary program kicks off in January. First, are you participating in the coupon program? If so, will it have value for you other than as a traffic-driver? And with the cutoff just a year away, what kinds of help do you want, need—or expect—from your industry partners (vendors, buying groups, other industry organizations) to help you spread the word among your customers about what is going to happen and how they need to prepare?
