Hundreds Arrested in Immigration Raid at Plant
An electronics manufacturing plant in Laurel, Miss., was raided late August by federal immigration agents, leading to the arrests of 595 people suspected of being illegal immigrants. The IDG News Service reported that Howard Industries, which makes products for Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft, Palm and other companies, was raided by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with cooperation from the Justice Department.
